San Francisco Speed Event Results

San Francisco Speed Event is an independent event, not subject to nor sanctioned by, the jurisdiction of other speed sailing organizations. Due to the unique challenges of sailing on San Francisco Bay, the Event will test the prowess of sailors both local and international, and their abilities to achieve new speed sailing records specific to San Francisco Bay.
The speed course under consideration for the Event will be set inside a virtual five hundred meter ‘box’ defined by inflatable markers on four corners on the Bay, east of the Golden Gate Bridge, and directly in front of Crissy Field and the Golden Gate and St Francis Yacht Clubs. The late afternoons will be prime time for recording speed runs as the wind and current combine to make the ideal conditions to set for the first time speed sailing records on the Bay.
*Due to possible timing discrepancies results are being verified
and official results will be confirmed as soon as possible.
