Community Action; Save South Padre Island Jetties

The Jetties aka Isla Blanca Park is the main launch for downwinders on the gulf side of the island. It’s the southern most beach on the island and is a very large park with lots of parking. It also has the best break and is popular with the surfers.
There is a plan in the works to covert the whole park in to private property and put up more condos. This is bad because there is still plenty of room on the island to the north to build more stuff and they don’t need to take the park away from the people.
