Getting There

Tonga is located in the South Pacific lying East of Fiji and South of Samoa. The main international airport is Fua'amotu International Airport on Tongatapu, close to the capital city Nukualofa. The Vava'u group of Islands, considered to be Tonga's sailing and whale watching centre, is a beautiful cluster of waterways and pristine, sparsely inhabited islets to the North of Tongatapu.
Participants should arrange their own flights to Tongatapu International Airport arriving no later than 11am on Friday 12th October. Domestic flights to Vava'u will be arranged by the event organizers. You will be available for international departures by 5.30pm on Saturday 20th October.

Air Pacific, Air New Zealand and Pacific Blue fly to Tonga. Flights go direct from New Zealand, Australia and via Fiji, or Samoa from U.S.A. Please note that you lose a day coming from the U.S.A and gain a day flying back to U.S.A so double check your landing dates to ensure you are in time for the event.

October is in the dry season with temperatures averaging 24C during the day and 20C at night. Water temperature is expected to be 26C.
